I heard the most interesting riddle the other day that went “6 frogs are sitting on a lily pad, and 1 frog decides to jump off. How many frogs are left?”
If you are like most people, your logical brain probably just kicked in and said 5! The good news is that your analytical skills are perfectly intact. The bad news is, that is the wrong answer!
How often do we say we are going to do something, commit to doing something, and even tell ourselves that we are doing something, but are not really taking action?
Our logical, analytical brain is trying to trick us into thinking we are taking action when no real action has taken place. It will come up with all sorts of excuses and rationalizations as to why you are not seeing results when you are “working so hard”.
Just like in the example of the frog, just because you have decided to do something, doesn’t mean you are actually doing it! There are still 6 frogs on the lily pad!
Do not live your life deciding to take action. TAKE ACTION NOW!
What you are going to start taking action on today? Let me know in the comments!

Such a great analogy for life! Thanks for sharing
I would've answered 6. Not because I realized the frog only "decided" and didn't act. I simply thought the question "How many frogs are left?" is not the same as "How many frogs are on the lily pad?" I thought the one jumped off, but thought "that frog still exists." Five on the lily pad, one not = 6 frogs. There's me overthinking… right answer, wrong logic.
